Let's make today kind, curious, and brave. Take care of one another, ask lots of questions, engage in class activities, and speak English. God bless!

Before Class Begins
Environment and Appearance: Setting up in a quiet, distraction-free space helps maintain a professional learning atmosphere. Using a solid-color wall or a virtual background on Google Meet works well when teaching from home, and following in-school attire standards helps maintain continuity.
Equipment and Accounts: Utilizing school-managed devices or IT-approved alternatives helps keep data secure. Staying within designated school working hours (e.g., 7:25 AM to 3:00 PM) and using official school channels rather than personal accounts ensures appropriate boundaries.
Pre-Class Testing: Joining the meeting about 3 minutes prior to start time gives extra space to test audio, video, and screen-sharing setups.
During Live Sessions
Attendance Records: Screen capturing the meeting participant list provides a simple way to maintain accurate attendance records.
Reinforcing Expectations: Briefly reminding students at the beginning of class about online etiquette—such as staying muted until called on, joining from a quiet space, dressing appropriately, and respecting privacy by not recording—helps set a positive tone.
Privacy Protection: Keeping live sessions unrecorded protects student privacy. If a recording is necessary for an urgent safety reason, obtaining administrative approval beforehand ensures compliance. Deleting temporary recordings after 30 days or transferring them to a shared drive keeps storage compliant with data protection guidelines.
Small-Group and Individual Support: Having a colleague or the student's parent/guardian present during one-on-one sessions creates a supportive and safe environment for both parties.
Post-Class & Communication
Feedback Mechanisms: Guidance on where to find feedback—whether spoken during the session, noted in the chat, or posted on assignment rubrics—helps students track their progress effectively.
Email Communication: Encouraging students to reach out through official school email rather than private messages keeps communication organized. Responding during regular school working hours helps maintain a healthy work-life balance.
