Trimble is a company built around positioning, from geospatial through to CAD. Live Collaboration is built upon these same foundations to ensure that coordination can be effective across applications and datasets.
You'll probably see a situation where fitting your view to the models will look like a blank screen, or view controls don't rotate correctly.
In some apps there can be some other visual issues as well, including objects not displaying correctly.
If your application supports geospatial coordinate alignment it's best to consider doing this in your application.
Geospatial coordination is the preference as it helps align your model to the real world, which help in multiple other contexts, integrations and systems.
If your application doesn't support global coordinates, or you are wishing to temporarily align the model in relation to other models, you can utilize Trimble Connect's model positioning feature to adjust the position.
Prior to Sharing models to a collaborative session, you can adjust their positions within Connect via the Position settings panel.
Select model
Navigate to the model you'd like to align in the models tab & select the position settings option from the 3-dots menu
Position it in Connect
Using the position or move options adjust your model position to the desired location and press save.
You can now share your model
Pro tip: Determining Position
If you'd like to a model to a specific point, you can use the single point measure tool to get it's coordinates to copy into the model position dialog.
