Ongoing Mentor Commitments
This is a reminder of what it takes for you to be, and stay, a mentor in good standing. Please be advised that this program may need to change as we evolve our understanding of what is required to help people mature in their second life and become able to support others’ awakenings. It is our intention to stay in close contact with you, to stay flexible, to inform you and support you to make your training effective and easeful.
To maintain the status of mentor in good standing with the TATC, the following is required:
For the first year of mentoring, having a one-hour private session with a full teacher at least once a month.
After the first year of mentoring, required number of sessions with a full or senior teacher depends on number of mentees:
Three or more mentees: One-hour session monthly (or more or less at teacher’s discretion)
Two mentees: 45-minute session every two months (or more or less at teacher’s discretion)
One mentee: 30-minute session every two months (or more or less at teacher’s discretion)
Continuous participation in monthly group phone circle with your small group teacher
Having a therapist available as needed
Regular observance of a teacher/teachers working with students at sittings or retreats or other teacher scheduled events.
Participate in ongoing education as offered. At least one event each year after becoming a mentor is strongly recommended to remain a mentor in good standing such as:
1) Be a mentor at a Transfiguration Retreat
2) Repeat (at a reduced rate) the "Deepening into Your Second Life" or the "Advanced Mutuality Skills" course
