Tri County Elementary students receive social-emotional lessons through the Second Step program within their classrooms. There are resources and content available for families on the Second Step website. If you have not already created an account on Second Step and utilized a Program Activation Key below are instructions so that you may access these resources and content.

Complete the Required Fields
Add the Program Activation Key for the grade level of your student:

Coping skills and mindfulness are important tools to have in our toolbox. Mindfulness is the ability to slow down and focus on the present. Our mindset shapes how we view our lives and abilities. A growth mindset is the belief that we can improve upon our abilities versus a fixed mindset which is a belief that we are unable to change our abilities or make improvements. This can be a difficult concept for kids especially when they are frustrated or feeling stuck.
Our emotions play a big part in our lives and, in turn, influence how we think about situations and our behavior. It's important that we are able to identify our emotions. Remember all emotions are normal even when they are uncomfortable.
