What is Social, Emotional, and Character Development? It is teaching, practicing, modeling, encouraging essential personal life habits that are almost universally understood as making people good human beings. It is about making healthy decisions, being able to effectively problem solve, to be respectful and responsible, to be civil and caring, to be good citizens and to be emphatic and ethical individuals.
