NewsELA.com is a wonderful program for students! Students can read articles throughout the summer using their TRECA Google login. To keep building skills, students should answer the questions under the Activities area on the right side of the NewsELA screen!
Students can learn coding at https://scratch.mit.edu/. They have starter projects that students can use to build their coding experience: https://scratch.mit.edu/starter-projects, as well as tutorials for students who want more step-by-step instruction, https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/editor/?tutorial=all. Students do not need to create an account, but if they want to save their coding projects, they can use their TRECA Google account.
Keep using Education Galaxy: https://app.educationgalaxy.com/login.aspx All students in Grades K-6 were given accounts this school year! Log in with your TDA Username and Password (the same ones you use to log into Brightspace) and work on the Skill Practice area.

Students will log in with the School Name TRECA and their Brightspace username and password. At myON Reader, students will select their interests to get personalized book recommendations! Students can also read the news at myON Reader!
Students can keep working in iReady for most of the summer. They usually shut the program down for "summer clean up" but you can work in it until then!

Students of all ages can keep a journal. Journals don't have to rely on printed words! Journals can be sketches instead of words, to help students capture how they are feeling or questions they have.
