Our Team
Dr. Karen Colorafi is devoted to designing, conducting, and evaluating high-quality science of health care delivery research that moves us closer to the quadruple aim objectives of healthier populations, better care, lower costs, and happier clinicians.
Dr. Colorafi teaches research methods, clinical informatics, team-based project leadership, and analytics at the graduate level at Gonzaga University bringing issues of social justice, diversity, and global engagement into the classroom. She has multiple publications and co-written dozens of grant applications. She is currently working as the methodologist on several science-of- healthcare delivery (i.e., outcome) studies.
Dr. Joe Colorafi is Vice President of Clinical Data Science at a a large healthcare organization. Since being there from 2012, he now oversees Advanced Clinical Analytics and Data Science. For the past 15 years his career has focused on Medical and Bio-Informatics, enabling him to bring a considerable amount of experience in areas of change management governance, clinical effectiveness and use of predictive analytics . This knowledge builds on his 20 years of practice in pulmonary , sleep, and intensive care medicine.
Sunil Kakade is a technologist, educator, and senior leader with expertise in creating data and AI-driven organizations. He is in the adjunct faculty at Northwestern University, Evanston, IL, where he teaches graduate courses in applied machine learning, data science, and big data. He has several research papers to his credit and has presented his work in big data applications at national conferences. He has US patents in areas of big data and retail processes. He is passionate about applying data science to improve business outcomes and save patients' lives. At present, Sunil leads the information architecture and analytics team for a large healthcare organization focused on improving healthcare outcomes
Pam’s passion in healthcare and social systems has focused on improving the health of low income populations. Using her nursing background, she’s worked in Executive roles in Clinical and Administrative areas including in Health Systems and Plans and closely with Community Based non-profit organizations. Currently she sits on several health care related Boards. A large part of her focus is on how better social impact data can lead to enhanced understanding of improved medical care and outcomes across the continuum of services.
