Translational Health ‘s analytic platform in partnership with a population health organization built a classification algorithm to identify patients at high risk for Type II Diabetes. The algorithm was designed to identify patients who had pre-diabetes and who were at high risk for developing diabetes within five years. This allowed the case managers at a large community-owned public health system to focus their attention on the highest risk patients, helping them to make the difficult lifestyle and dietary changes that are essential to the prevention of disease onset.
Children’s crisis nurseries play a unique and vital role in today’s family and community ecosystem. Translational Health was able to ingest previously unused data that created insights into increasing the propensity to donate to such charitable organizations. This knowledge was then applied to enable future campaigns to be more successful.
Translational Health awards annual scholarships in graduate medical science and data scientist education. Examples include:
2020: Community mental health project
2021: Diabetes prediction in vulnerable patients
2022: Internships for young data scientists/engineers
