Belgrade Brooten Elrosa
BBE Public Schools joined the RSDC because we were in search of a network with coaches who would push us to the next level and help us reimagine and personalize learning experiences. The North Star that we want to achieve is helping learners develop their creativity and problem solving so that they can impact their community and the world! We are excited to continue to build our micro school within our public rural Minnesota district, and build on the school pillars of making learning meaningful, complex, and creating engaged citizens!
Carlson Elementary
Carlson Elementary joined the RSDC for inspiration and support on our journey to reimagine learning and revitalize our school. Our goal is to cultivate a climate and culture that will enable a more engaging, experiential learning model to thrive. We are excited about how this will impact our students!
Casey County SD
We joined RSDC to explore possibilities, learn from other communities, and ultimately improve our processes and create opportunities for the students of Casey County. Our goal is to expose our students to a variety of learning experiences and opportunities that extend beyond the ceiling of state standards and the classroom and support our community needs. We are excited to take an honest look at what is and is not working, explore the root cause of specific challenges to student learning, and take ownership of what we can control and change to ensure our students and community can celebrate success.
Clarksdale Municipal School District
We joined the RSDC to transform our school district into a beacon of innovative learning in the Mississippi Delta. Our district's goals are to create 21st century students, promote social-emotional learning, increase student engagement, and bolster literacy across our community. In our partnership with Transcend, we are excited to learn best-practices for creating and maintaining a positive school environment that promotes innovation and personalized learning.
King Murphy Elementary
We joined the RSDC to support our transition away from the formal International Baccalaureate World School system towards a more locally tailored pedagogy and program for our community. Our goals are to take our best learning from being a stellar IB school for the last 13 years and leverage that learning to explore and incorporate a more "experiential" offering for our community. We are most excited to revisit our core beliefs around teaching and learning and integrate experiences that enhance our curriculum for our community!
La Honda PesCadero Unified SD
LHPUSD is eager to connect with a larger network of rural partners, who understand the wonders and challenges of rural schooling, to innovate our schools and transform the educational experiences for our school community. We aim to identify what is working well and the barriers in relation to an equitable education for our students and their families. We hope to build on the new learnings about our school communities that will come through this design process that will allow us to rethink the teaching and learning for our students.
McComb School District
We are ready to place an emphasis on 21st-century learning opportunities and engagement for ALL students in the McComb School District and the community that will positively impact generations to come. Our goal is to create an educational system that will transition scholars, parents, and community members into an innovative organization where the outcome of redesigning OUR district’s culture, climate, expectations, and educational experience fulfills the vision, mission, and purpose of the people we serve. We are excited to initiate a total redesign of the district’s teaching and learning structure that will empower scholars with the skills to be a catalyst of change for their world and the world of those they touch.
Northern Cass School District
We joined RSDC to expand our network of learning partners while being able to get purposeful feedback from experts outside of our building on how we can better meet the needs of all learners. Our goal is to begin building a framework for a competency-based graduation pathway focused on competencies and not courses/credits. We are excited to work on this new pathway as it will provide us with the foundation to fully redesign our learning experiences based on passions and experiences.
Spring Creek School
This is a pivotal moment for our community to redesign its school model and be innovative. The pandemic has given us the gift of time to think outside the box and build teacher capacity. Our number one priority is to build strong connections with the community so that our relationship is one of transparency and trust. We are excited to collaborate with other rural communities and push ourselves to build transformational learning experiences with our young people.
Tornillo ISD
The Rural Schools Design Community project is aligned with our vision to create a positive environment resulting in the shared belief that any member of our community can achieve their future goals and wildest dreams. Our goal is to provide learning experiences that improve performance, strengthen culture, and deepen student, family and community relationships. We are excited to continue to grow in college and career ready mindsets from birth, team collaboration, and school and community pride.
