Jr. High Band 2025-2026
Junior high band is a time for group learning and playing as an ensemble. We will work on rhythms, scales, sight reading, and music for our five concerts. We meet Monday, Wednesday, and Friday each week.
Grades:
Rehearsal points (participation in class, following rules, caring for materials): 5/day = 15/week
Lessons (excused if student is sick or testing in another class during lesson time): 10/Week
Concerts: 50/Performance
Activity Fees: Students have an activity fee of $15.00 for band, and this includes their Junior High Choir/Band t-shirt that they will wear for performances. Please pay Ms. Elton. If your child is in both band and choir, the fee will be $20 to Mrs. Johnson. School instrument rentals are $50 a year. Woodwinds are requested to pay $10, and they will receive reeds for the year. Performance Attire: Students are required to have black dress pants, all black closed-toe shoes, and long black socks (so no skin shows) for performances. They will wear their matching choir/band t-shirts.
