I graduated from Augustana College with Business and Communications degrees. I then went back to school for Elementary Education and Special Education at SMSU.
I have been teaching at Tracy Elementary for 20+ years. I have licenses in Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD), Emotional and Behavioral Disorder (EBD), and Developmental Cognitive Disability (DCD).
I enjoy traveling, going to my kids' activities, and being with family.
Hello! I am Wanda Apperson and teacher in the special education department at Tracy Area Elementary School with the upper elementary grades.
I’ve been in education for over 40 years in various states, schools and grade levels.
Each student is a gift and has the potential to make the world a better place. As an educator, helping students achieve their goals and opening the world of learning requires flexibility and appreciation for the individual’s abilities.
And, a good sense of humor helps too!
When not at school, you can find me in the kitchen baking up goodies or in the garden coaxing flowers to bloom.
Hi, I am a special education paraprofessional, and an important part of The Resource Room.
I also help with Hmong translation services for families who feel more comfortable communicating through Hmong.
Feel free to contact the school if my translation services are needed for conferences, IEP meeting, or visiting with a classroom teacher.
I enjoy gardening and spending time with my grandchildren.
