Tim Frenneux

Tim is a regenerative business designer, purpose-driven entrepreneur and radical economic strategist, who the team behind Doughnut Economics have kindly called a thought-leader in the field.

He has long sought to address how our economic system fails to meet people's needs whilst simultaneously over-exploiting the environment. Originally, this was via a career in Economic Development which culminated in England’s first carbon-negative Local Industrial Strategy.

In 2020 Tim left his career to establish a regenerative design practice which helps organisations adopt transformational regenerative approaches. He also runs Adventurous Ink, a subscription book club he founded to help people reconnect with themselves and nature.

Tim is also currently developing a radical project to address the causes of our current crises; a people-powered global fund called Steward that will invest in transforming corporate companies to regenerative businesses.

A systems thinker, his approach is strongly informed by Kate Raworth's 'Doughnut Economics' and the need to move towards a safe and just space for humanity.

Tim helps people create change from both the head and the heart. With a background in innovation methodologies such as Service Design and Theory U, an awareness-based approach to creating change in complex systems.

He specialises in benefit-driven innovation, strategy and organisational development. Much of his work involves connecting different practices and  professions, drawing on an extensive network of thinkers, doers and innovators from his time with the Do Lectures publishing arm Do Book Co.
