Mitigation Strategies


We will continue to use the following mitigation strategies:

  • Air filtration system removes the virus particles from the air.

  • UV lights are used to kill the virus in rooms daily.

  • Social distancing and indoor masks are encouraged.

  • Sanitizer sprays are used daily.

  • Water fountains were replaced with water filling stations.

  • Access to on-site vaccination clinics are utilized.

  • TEST to KNOW, STAY and PLAY COVID-19 testing available at every building.

Shawnee County Health Department Walk-in Vaccination Hours

The SCHD has walk-in vaccination hours at their Immunization Clinic (2115 SW 10th Ave) during morning and afternoon business hours:

Monday/Thursday/Friday – 8:00 - 11:00 AM & 1:00-4:00 PM

Tuesday – 10:00 -1:00 PM & 3:00-6:00PM

Wednesday – 8:00 - 11:00 AM & 2:00-4:00 PM

FCC's Emergency Broadband Benefit

Topeka Public Schools is proud to announce that we are partnering with Cox Communications to provide internet services for our families who qualify!

The FCC has announced the Emergency Broadband Benefit will provide eligible families who apply a credit of up to $50 per month to cover the cost of Broadband services with various providers, including Cox. Click here for information from Cox in either English or Spanish.
