At Rogers High School
The first teen center for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Toledo dedicated to the High School opened March of 2022. We offer an after-school option for teens to safely have fun in a space that is dedicated to the teen experience.
POWER HOUR
An opportunity to complete homework assignments, get ahead of schedule on classwork and earn prizes and parties. When teens show grades, improved performance in classes, proof they are on track to graduate they earn the right to choose what party they want to celebrate their goal accomplishment.
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
Torch Teen (ages 13 through 14)
This is a Club with in the Club where teens are able to make an impact you their community through community service, as well as other leadership opportunities.
Keystone Club (ages 15 through 18)
Keystones participate in programs that focus on service to the Boys & Girls Clubs and to the community. Select members get the opportunity to attend regional and national conferences to share ideas and talk about teen problems with their peers from other Clubs.
Technology Room
We work with teens on various opportunities for scholarships, contests, etc. that this computer related. We also have Transfr VR headsets to give teens real world experience with various career paths. Through MyFuture.net, Road Trip Nation and others the teens have a chance to work toward goals for life after High School.
Sports
Teens will enjoy teams, classes, and leagues in flag football, soccer, baseball, and basketball. We are partnered with McTigue Elementary and will use their gym 2x per week on Tuesdays and Thursday.
ART Room
Arts and crafts provide opportunities for kids to think and be creative. Programs enhance self-expression and creativity, skill development and exposure to the Arts. Daily projects, hobby crafts, and cultural festivals are the core of the Arts & Crafts program.
