Year Two Weekly Update

Review (This Week)

This week we have been completing our Year 2 Spring Assessments for spelling, arithmetic, reasoning and problem solving, reading comprehension and grammar. The children have been resilient and independent. Well done Year 2!

Preview (Next Week)

English:

We will be beginning our new English unit of 'Beegu', a story about an alien trying to get home. This will tie in to our mini topic unit of 'Space', where we will be going to the Space Inspirium on a school trip.

Maths:

We will be continuing our learning of Shape and Measurement.

Science:

We will be continuing our science unit of Habitats.

NOTICES

We will be having our school photoshoot on Monday 11th March. Year 2 children will be having their photos after PE - unfortunately this time is not flexible. Therefore, Year 2 will be having a PE lesson on Monday and a swimming lesson on Wednesday so they do not have wet hair for their photos.

Please ensure Year 2 WEAR THEIR UNIFORM and bring their PE kit to school on Monday to get changed into. Please bring swimming kit on Wednesday.

Monday: Wear uniform and bring PE kit

Wednesday: Wear uniform and bring swimming kit.
