Year Two Weekly Update
Monday 1st April - Friday 5th April
Review (This week)
English : We have used apostrophes for contractions; plurals and had a go at making shape poems for Songkran.
Maths : We have solved problems about shape and used many of the skills we learnt this term.
Science: We have finished our 'Material Changes' unit by looking at materials that dissolve.
Songkran Shape Poems
We enjoyed writing our own shape poems for Songkran in the shape of water drops.
Marvellous Maths
We have enjoyed solving problems and finishing our measuring length unit.
Egyptian Art and Games
Shooting hoops!
We enjoyed finishing our basketball unit by playing a match and shooting some hoops!

Please make sure you are reading with your child and writing in their Reading Records.
Notices:
- The Songkran break is from the 8th - 19th April. Students will be back in school on the Monday 22nd April.
- Summer School is available from 1st - 19th July. Please speak to the office for more information and to sign up.
- Please send your child into school with their hats, water bottles and folders
- Please be reminded about the importance of children wearing safe and appropriate footwear to school. It states in the parent handbook that 'open-toed sandals, flip flops or crocs are not allowed'
PE is on Monday and Thursday (they may wear their kit all day).
Swimming is on Tuesday (please label their kit, goggles and cap with their name).
