The Torrey Pines Swim & Dive Team

The Torrey Pines High School Swim & Dive Program is proud to be recognized as CIF Champions for multiple years running.

Torrey Pines High School (TPHS) is a long-standing academic and athletic powerhouse in San Diego. TPHS was ranked as one of "America's Top 100 Best High Schools" in the nation by Newsweek and has garnered CIF and league championship titles numerous times. Many swimmers from TPHS have achieved Scholar Athlete, All-American, All-CIF and All-League Team awards.

TPHS is a Division I school competing in the North County Coastal League. The CIF-SDS swimming/diving season begins in February and ends with the CIF final meet in May.

Join our team: All swimmers with a sincere commitment to participate and in good academic standing are eligible to join the team. Athletes must be cleared by the TPHS Athletics Department. In order to get clearance, you need to pass a physical, carry an un-weighted GPA of 2.0 or better (based on a 4.0 scale in all enrolled courses), and submit completed Athletic Packet forms. 

Team Policies

•   All Swimmers must attend practice regularly.

•   Any swimmer who misses more than 4 practices will be subject to dismissal from the team.

•   Swimmers who swim for club teams must practice with the high school team at least once a week.

•   To achieve a varsity letter or certificate of participation, athletes must attend all competitions and finish the season in good academic standing.

                  Code of Conduct:

1. RESPECT for oneself, your teammates, opponents, volunteers, and coaching staff.

2. Communication—inability to attend any practice, meet or team function must be brought to the attention of the coaching staff in writing.

3. Disruptive or disrespectful behavior will NOT be tolerated.

4. All student-athletes are required to ride on the team buses to and from Away meets. Exceptions can be made on a case-by-case basis pending permission from the Head Coach and the parents of the student-athlete.

"Home" pool swim practices:  Begin February 2025 (dates and times TBD) @ Pardee Aquatic Center/Boys and Girls Clubs of San Dieguito at 533 Lomas Santa Fe Dr, Solana Beach, CA 92075
