Gil and Ryan have worked on multiple projects over the last month. This short video shows the new shower rods that they installed.
Gil and Ryan fixed the sewer line that goes from the septic tank by the dining hall to the ballfield. The pipe had cracked up by the ballfield and was leaking. However, the liquid was still leaching into the soil even though it was leaching before it reached the ballfield. While fixing the break, they realized another 10' section of pipe was also cracked, so they fixed that as well. When the turned on the pump, water reached the tank at they top of the leach field which had been dry before. The Lord is good that both sections were found and were able to be fixed...now we just need that backhoe attachment for the tractor...

My view from the bed of the tow truck. We were pretty high up.
In March, we headed to Denver for a speech and debate tournament. We stayed with some dear friends and had a great time at the STOA Continental Divide Challenge Tournament. On our way home, as we came down from Eisenhower Tunnel on I-70 and something didn't seem right with the 15 passenger van. We passed Silverthorne and headed up the hill. The van slowly stopped going up the hill. I was pressing the gas, but it wouldn't go. I pulled off on the left side of the road, which was the closest side. Gil was ahead of us about 1/2 a mile.
We were not in a safe place. I was talking to Gil on the phone for a few minutes trying to figure out what to do. As I was talking to Gil, a tow truck pulled in front of us and a police car pulled behind us. Once the tow truck driver saw that I had 6 kids in the car he said "I am getting you out of here." He proceeded to load us on the bed of his tow truck and took us about a mile up the road to a rest stop, while we sat in the van with our seat belts on. The police car followed us since we had so many in the van.
What a blessing that the Lord sent the tow truck at that specific time. He simply saw us, made his way across three lanes of traffic to help us get to a safe place. He refused payment for his service telling us it was his job to help people. What a blessing he was!
We believe that the fuel pump is going out on the van, so when I hit the gas, the fuel pump couldn't keep up with the demand. After talking with my amazing dad, he said to drive home going between 50 and 60 mph and not to push it. We made it home with no more issues. God is so, so good.
Taneil turned 50 on March 26th. We had a surprise party for her and since her favorite artist, from when she was in high school, is Steven Curtis Chapman, our pastor suggested we recreate some of his albums for her using Zuri. Here are the album covers recreated.
