Zuri and Uriah were playing Little League Baseball in Paonia. It was their third game. The first time at bat, Uriah got out at 2nd base with a sneaky play. Then the next time he got on base, he was stealing home. As Uriah was getting ready to slide, the pitcher tagged him. The force of the tag caused him to fall backwards and he landed on his left hand breaking both his ulna and radia.
That ended his season of playing baseball and we ended up in the ER to get it set. The picture on the right is of Uriah after they set and wrapped his arm. He was mildly sedated for the procedure so we was a bit loopy when the picture was taken.
Getting ready for the race.
The 10K was a trail run, which I love. We ran on some of the Single Track Bike paths in Loma, Colorad. This picture is from Mary's Loop overlooking the Colorado River.
I ran the 10K in 1 hour 33 minutes. I was hoping for 1 hour 30 minutes, but I was happy with the my run.
Ever seen a toilet smoke before? I came in the house and one of my children says, "Mom, the toilet is smoking." Never having seen a toilet smoke before, I went to investigate and this is what I found.
For my birthday we bought a new toilet, but it was too tall. Gil came to the rescue by bringing home a toilet he had saved from a remodel job. I must say, we have had this toilet in our barn for about a year, but I continually told him I didn't want a green toilet. Have you ever seen a green toilet before? Well now you have. I will say the color has grown on me and the smoking toilet wouldn't work as well if it was white.
To keep the heart is to carefully preserve it from sin which disorders it,
and to maintain that spiritual and gracious frame
which fits it for a life of communion with God.
