グローバル・イノベーション学科

一緒に未来を作りましょう

グローバルイノベーション学科は、2017年4月に設立され、2026年度で10年目を迎える学科です。東洋大学は文部科学省が指定するスーパーグローバル大学であり、本学科はグローバル時代に必要とされる新しい人財の育成を目的として誕生しました。

本学科には、大きく三つの特徴があります。

一つ目は、すべての科目を英語で学ぶこと、そして国内学生は2年次に全員が留学する制度を有している点です。入学後の1年間には、充実した英語学習プログラムを用意しています。1年次には、どの大学にも負けない密度で学び、留学に向けた確かな自信を身につけます。

二つ目は、白山キャンパスが世界との交差点となっていることです。アメリカ、イタリア、モロッコ、ブルガリア、ロシア、中国、タイ、ベトナム、フィリピン、インドネシア、ウズベキスタン、台湾、韓国など、世界各地から留学生が集まっています。1学年約100人の少数精鋭学科で、年度により差はありますが、約3割が留学生という環境です。ここは、人・文化・価値観・未来が交差する特別な学びの場です。

三つ目は、学生一人ひとりが自らの関心に基づいて学びを深められることです。グローバル・アントレプレナーシップ、グローバル・ビジネス、グローバル・コラボレーションという三つの領域を軸に、地球規模で解決すべき課題を自ら考え、調べ、議論します。そして、メディア、教育、人権といった民主主義を支える要素を学び、人が幸せに生きるための仕組みを探究します。

これまでに多くの卒業生を社会に送り出してきました。アメリカやヨーロッパの大学院へフルスカラーシップ（完全無償奨学金）を得て進学した学生、国家公務員・地方公務員、上場企業、コンサルティングファーム、大手監査法人、大手プラットフォーマーなどで活躍する卒業生もいます。学科の教育は、着実に成果として結実しています。

さあ、ここからも旅は続きます。この学びの場の特色を活かし、「Travel・Play・Dialogue」の精神のもと、未来を切り拓く学科を一緒に作っていきましょう。ここで得られる、世界と交わる知識とネットワークは、将来、必ず皆さんの力になるはずです。

Let’s Build the Future Together

The Department of Global Innovation Studies was established in April 2017 and will mark its 10th anniversary in the 2026 academic year. Toyo University is designated as a Super Global University by Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, and this department was founded to cultivate new human resources needed in the global era.

This department has three main characteristics.

First of all, students study all subjects in English, and all domestic students study abroad in their second year. During the first year after enrollment, we offer a full English study program. In the first year, students study at a level comparable to that of any other university, and gain solid confidence for studying abroad.

The second characteristic is that Hakusan Campus serves as a crossroads with the world. International students come to the campus from all over the world, including the United States, Italy, Morocco, Bulgaria, Russia, China, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia, Uzbekistan, Taiwan, and South Korea. This department is a small and elite department with about 100 students per academic year, and although there are differences depending on the year, about 30% of the students are international students. Hakusan Campus is a special learning environment where people, cultures, values, and the future intersect.

The third characteristic is that each student can deepen their studies based on their own interests. Students will think, investigate, and discuss issues that need to be resolved on a global scale, focusing on three areas: global entrepreneurship, global business, and global collaboration. And they will learn about the elements that support democracy, such as media, education, and human rights, and explore mechanisms for people to live happily.

To date, we have sent many graduates from this department into society. Some students have advanced to graduate schools in the United States and Europe on full scholarships (fully funded scholarships), while other graduates are active in roles such as national and local government officials, and employees at listed companies, consulting firms, major auditing firms, and major platform companies. The education of this department is steadily bearing fruit.

Now, the journey continues from here. Using the distinctive features of this learning environment, under the spirit of Travel, Play, and Dialogue, let’s jointly build a department that forges the future.
