Expectations for Coaches
Head Varsity Coach:
Valid NYS Coaching License with up-to-date First Aid, CPR and Concussion Management Training.
Demonstrates the ability to organize and supervise an entire athletic program with a safe environment, positive attitude, and work ethic which emulates the integrity of the program.
Communicates effectively and positively with athletes, parents, staff, and Athletic Director.
Has previous successful experience and knowledge of the program content area.
Possesses substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport area and continues to evaluate and examine new techniques and philosophies that will enhance the program’s growth.
Coach will dress appropriately during practices/games/events with suitable attire that supports the school district's dress code.
JV, Modified Coach:
Valid NYS Coaching License with up-to-date First Aid, CPR and Concussion Management Training.
Compliments the Varsity Head coach in the supervision of an athletic team with a safe environment, positive attitude and work ethics which emulates the integrity of the program.
Communicates effectively and positively with the Head Varsity Coach, athletes, parents, staff, and Athletic Director.
Has previous coaching experience in the content area and has knowledge and background in the assigned sport.
Demonstrates loyalty to and maintains the integrity of the program.
Coach will dress appropriately during practices/games/events with suitable attire that supports the school district's dress code.
Volunteer Coach:
Compliments the head coach in the supervision of an athletic team with a safe environment, positive attitude and work ethics which emulates the integrity of the program.
Communicates effectively with the head coach of the team and athletes.
