Welcome to Online STEM!!

We're so glad to have you here. In this unit, you will discover and demonstrate the 5 concepts that explain the shadow phenomena. Grab you flashlight, shadow object, paper, pencil, and shadow board, and let's get started!

Through exploration with light and shadow, students will learn and apply the 5 concepts about light to explain the shadow phenomena.

The following supplies are provided in your kit and will be needed for STEM Online:

  • iPad - Seesaw, (+Google Classroom for 4th grade), Flipgrid

  • Whiteboard, marker, & eraser

  • Flashlight

  • Shadow board (white folder - DO NOT BEND or write on it!!!)

  • Pencil & blank paper

  • Ruler

  • Shadow object (block, cube, etc.)
