Privacy Policy - PAUT Weld Planner
Effective date: October 7, 2026

The short version
- Your weld plans, scan settings, defects and report details stay on your phone. We never receive them.
- We do not use advertising, analytics, tracking or crash-reporting tools, and we do not sell or rent anyone's information.
- If you subscribe, Google Play or the Apple App Store handles the payment. We never see your card or bank details.
- To know whether your subscription is active, the app uses a subscription service called RevenueCat, which receives your purchase record and a random ID - not your name or email.
1. Information that stays on your device
Everything you type into the app - weld type and dimensions, probe and wedge settings, scan range, defects, job details, and the entries in your OJT hours log (dates, hours, supervisor names, sites, job and ticket numbers, and your name) - is used only inside the app on your device. It is not sent to us or to anyone else.
The app keeps these records on your device:
What - Why - How to remove it
---|---|---
Which version of the in-app disclaimer you accepted - So you are not asked again until the disclaimer changes - Clear the app's data or uninstall the app
Your last known subscription status (which plan is active) - So the app still opens for subscribers when the phone is offline - Clear the app's data or uninstall the app
Plans you choose to save (Saved plans) - So you can reopen a setup later - Delete the plan in the app, clear the app's data, or uninstall the app
Your OJT hours log and hours-needed targets - So your log is there the next time you open the app - Delete entries in the app, clear the app's data, or uninstall the app
2. Email PDF reports
When you tap Email PDF report, the app creates the PDF on your device and hands it to the email app you choose. The PDF is stored briefly in the app's temporary storage on your device so your email app can attach it. We do not receive the report. Who it goes to is entirely up to you; once you send it, the privacy terms of your email provider and your recipients apply. If you send a report to us, we use it only to answer you. The same applies to the OJT hours log PDF.
3. Subscriptions and payments
The app is free to download and offers yearly subscriptions sold through Google Play (Android) and the App Store (iPhone and iPad).
- Payment is handled entirely by Google or Apple under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not receive or store your payment card, bank details, name, email or billing address from them. As the seller we receive sales, tax and payout reports from Google and Apple, which we use only to run and account for our business.
- Subscription status is managed by RevenueCat, Inc., a service that checks with Google or Apple whether a purchase is valid and tells the app which plan is active. To do this RevenueCat receives:
- your purchase history for this app (which plan, when it started, renewals, cancellations, refunds) and the purchase receipt or token issued by Google or Apple;
- a random identifier created for this app installation (not your name, email, phone number or advertising ID); and
- the technical details that come with any internet request, such as IP address, device type, operating system, app version, country and the last time the app checked in.
We use this information only to give you access to what you paid for, prevent fraud, restore purchases on a new device, and see overall sales numbers. RevenueCat processes it on our behalf. Its privacy policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
- Free trial: whether you are eligible for a free trial is decided by Google or Apple from your store account.
4. What we do not do
- No advertising and no advertising IDs.
- No analytics, usage tracking, crash reporting or session recording.
- No tracking across other companies' apps or websites.
- No selling, renting or trading of personal information, and no "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- No account sign-up. The app does not ask for your name, email or phone number.
- No location, camera, microphone, contacts or photo permissions.
5. Links to other websites
Some screens link to outside web pages (for example a manufacturer's product page or our policy pages). Opening one takes you to your browser, where that website's own privacy policy applies.
6. How long information is kept
- On your device: until you clear the app's data or uninstall the app.
- Purchase records held by RevenueCat: for as long as needed to provide the subscription and meet tax, accounting and legal obligations, after which they are deleted or anonymized.
- Sales and tax records we receive from Google and Apple: as long as tax and accounting law requires.
7. Security
We keep the information we handle to the minimum the app needs. Information sent between the app, Google, Apple and RevenueCat is encrypted in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices and rights
- You can cancel a subscription at any time in your Google Play or Apple account settings. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription.
- You can ask us what purchase information relating to you is held by our subscription service, or ask us to delete it, by emailing cajun700402@gmail.com. Because we do not know who you are, we may ask for your store order number so we can find the right record. Deleting it may mean you need to tap Restore purchase to regain access.
- Depending on where you live (for example California or other U.S. states with privacy laws, or the EU/UK), you may have additional rights such as access, correction, deletion, portability and objection. We will honor valid requests as the law requires and will not treat you differently for making one.
9. Children
The app is a professional tool for adult industrial inspection workers. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Where information is processed
We are based in the United States. Google, Apple and RevenueCat may process purchase information in the United States and other countries where they operate, under their own safeguards.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will post the new version at this page with a new effective date. If a change is significant - for example if the app starts collecting a new kind of information - we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.
