Ruth and I took the red eye special, Sacramento to NY, AT 10:50 PM on Saturday then onward to Grenada arriving in late afternoon. Taxi to the boat up on the hard. Spent a rough night with the mosquitoes, but survived. Worked all the long next day. Our time clock got us up at daylight, washing and scrubbing the boat. Filled both water tanks, stowed all and checked that all 9 of the batteries were doing well, yahoo! That is 6 house batteries, a starting battery for each engine and one for the 220V generator. It is now 8 PM and we have had dinner, and more importantly, a couple of gin and tonics. All ready for splash down tomorrow at 11:AM. Once we are in the water it will be a lot more comfortable and the boat will be happier, a good cooling breeze, both the fridge and freezer working with keel cooling, and best of all, we can head in any direction. Air temp is about 80, with water temp about the same, breeze is 20 knots, seas 4-6 ft. Will first head around the island, to the capital city, St. George where we can provision. In St. George one can take the dinghy to the dock immediately across from the supermarket, making it very easy to load all aboard and check out of the country. Next stop ?? Maybe Carriacou and northward.
