He is the author of Dr. Ponkotsu😅

March 7

We heartly welcome new bachelor students to the group😊

We will spend this year in persuit of the excellent chemistry🧪👩‍❤️‍👩💑👨‍❤️‍👨🧪

March 6

Prof. Ali and his MS student from Bangladesh visited our group. Prof. Ifuku who hosted them arranged the lab-tours.

Thank you for visiting🤗 Thank you, Tomoaki😉

February 23

Azad will move to Ishikawa to join JAIST as a postdoctoral researcher👨🏽‍🔬

Thank you for choosing Tottori University for your PhD study. Tottori is your hometwon in Japan🐪

Erika is smiling😊 Shoma is looking far away🥺

February 19

Hiryu and Tomo-aki won the department chair award for the presentations of their bachelor theses.

We are proud of you. Congratulations🏆🏆

December 22

Prof. Yousuke Ooyama showed new directions of functional organic dyes in his GSC seminar🚀

He talked over 10 hours for the special class of chemistry and biotechnology in the snow⛄

December 22

Yu has made significant progress of his research as shown in the group seminor👏

We expect further progress of our research in the next several months✊

December 15

Hirofumi converted his 4 months stay at the Baran group to the publication😲

Hirofumi did what he promised before leaving Tottori👏

December 4

Naoya presented his recent study on photochemical C-glycosylations in the regional chemistry symposium organized by Prof. Naonobu Katada.

The "神大うりぼー" wild boar is an official character of Kobe University where Prof. Minoru Mizuhata belongs to🐗

The offichial character of Tottori University is "とりりん" mandarin duck🐤

December 2

We joined the 43rd ekiden competition in the Koyama campus of Tottori University. (3.3 Km for men, 2.8 Km for wemen)

Five representatives of the gruop including two faculty members were running around the campus in the cold rainy weather☔

We are athletic chemists💨

November 29

Prof. Aiichiro Nagaki of Hokkaido University delivered his brilliant talk in the GSC seminar.

He showed how flow-microreactors will change the way to produce organic molecules😏

November 24

We are practicing for the running event besides our chemical research😅

Sachiko Yamashita, 4th place in the women's marathon of the1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, is a  graduate of Tottori University😲

Molecular Glycoscience

Carbohydrates are one of the most abundant organic molecules. We are interested in chemical synthesis and biological applications of oligosaccharides, although synthetic chemistry of sugar is not so sweet... [Learn More]

Organic Electrochemistry

Most of organic molecules are reactive under the electrochemical conditions; however, numbers of useful methods for selective transformations of the specific functional group in the molecule are still limited. [Learn More]

Functional Ionic Liquids

Ionic liquids are unique salts composed of organic cation and/or anion. Their properties can be controlled by changing their combination and structures.[Learn More]
