Paula has worked for Torrington Public Schools since 2011 as an educator, coordinator, family liaison, and librarian.  She began teaching at Vogel-Wetmore School as a school Library Media Specialist in 2024.  Paula is also a co-librarian for the  Community Family Learning Center Resource Library housed at KidsPlay Children's Museum. Paula loves to read and loves to help students, staff and families find books and resources that will be helpful to them.  In her free time, Paula likes to hike, swim, and travel with her husband and two daughters.

Tracey Benham

Vogel School Media Assistant

Torrington Public Schools Paraeducator of the Year 2025-2026

Tracey joined Torrington Public Schools in 2018 as a Special Education Paraeducator in the DLC Program.  This school year, she is excited to begin a new chapter as the Media Assistant at Vogel-Wetmore School. As an avid reader, Tracey is excited to share her love of books and reading with students and staff.  She looks forward to helping everyone discover new stories and lots of adventures between the pages.  When she's not at school, Tracey enjoys cooking, camping, swimming and, most of all, spending time with her family.
