As a co-op student, you have access to the internal Co-op Portal, an online platform where co-op information is stored. You can use the Co-op Portal for the following activities: updating your personal information, uploading your job applications, viewing and applying for co-op jobs, scheduling interviews, and viewing your co-op employment history. Please take the time to familiarize yourself with the Portal.
You will be able to log in using your Toronto Metropolitan University Online Identity (i.e., the same username and password as your email account).
You can also access the Co-op Portal Student User Manual under Student Resources > Co-op Resources. Please read through the manual to gain a better understanding of how to use the Co-op Portal.
We encourage you to fill out your profile and upload a picture of yourself to your Profile so your Co-op Program Specialist and the rest of the Co-op Team can get to know you.
Note: Co-op students will have access to view job postings for all terms during which they're scheduled to complete a work term. You can expect to see the majority of the job postings 4 months in advance; however, some companies will post opportunities up to 1 year in advance of the anticipated start date.
For Summer work terms, students should expect to see postings in January
For Winter work terms, expect to see postings in September
For Fall work terms, expect to see postings in May
You are also encouraged to conduct an external search using recommended job search websites, which can begin as early as Fall for Summer roles!
