About Us
What is Student Council?
Student Council is an organization consisted of members from all classes and grade levels. Students are given the opportunity to develop leadership skills by organizing and executing school activities and service projects during their high school career. These events are the factors that contribute to the school's spirit ,pride, and community's welfare. In addition, Student Council is the voice of the student body that acts upon ideas, interests, and concerns of the student body and school wide community.
If you're interested in building leadership skills, organizational behavior, event planning, or becoming more involved in the school community, please come join the StuCo family!
How does Student Council select projects?
We put on COUNTLESS projects each school year.
Each project falls under one of the following categories:
Community Service
Purposely meets the needs of the community through activities, which reach out to all age, social, and ethnic groups throughout Tomball Memorial high school, the City of Tomball and the City of Houston.
D.A.S.H. (Drugs, Alcohol, Safety, Health)
Reach out to the community and school about the issues involving drugs, alcohol, safety and health. We shall offer solutions to minimize these issues and show the community how to live a better lifestyle.
Energy & Environment
Promote ways of conserving energy and protecting our environment among our school and community in order to preserve our community for now and the future.
Pride & Patriotism
Promote pride towards Tomball Memorial High School, the City of Tomball, the state of Texas and the United States of America, as well as promote patriotism, through activities, which put emphasis on community-involvement and citizenship. This committee shall also promote unity and respect among the community no matter what gender or race a person may be and no matter what social or economic status they come from.
