The Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra is a classical TV series created by Leonard Bernstein in 19601. The show was created to expose young viewers, mainly school-aged children, not just to European classical music, but to various kinds of orchestral instruments as well1. The Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra, Op. 34, is also a musical composition by Benjamin Britten with a subtitle Variations and Fugue on a Theme of Purcell2.
