The piano was always supposed to be a part of my life. My mom tells me that when I was little girl (4 years old), I was crying in church. When she asked me what was wrong I told her while pointing to the pianist the "She gets to play the piano and I don't!"

I graduated from Aztec High School in Aztec, New Mexico in 1986!

We're out for fun! We're out for kicks! We're the class of '86!

I was a music major with a piano concentration at East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma and graduated in 1991. There are two recordings here from my senior recital on April 22nd, 1991

I have worked at Tolar Elementary as the music teacher since 2002.

My relationship with Christ, my family, and giving music to my students are my most favorite things.

I married my amazing husband James in 1998.

Kevin DeShazo graduated from Tolar is 2009 and joined the Navy.

Karen McAusland graduated from Granbury HS in 2014.
