If You Are Applying in Person
Please submit your application using the Personal Application Form (authentication using your Tohokudai ID and password is required).
If You Are Applying on Behalf of Someone Else
Please consult with a faculty or staff member (secretary, colleague, department general affairs staff, or department academic affairs staff).
The faculty or staff member who receives the request should submit the application using this form (requires your Tohokudai ID and password authentication).
Once the change of the notification email address is complete, please receive the one-time password at that email address.
If the one-time password email is not arriving, please check the following:
Allow emails from the “secioss.co.jp” domain.
It may take time for the email to be sent.
If the notification email is being forwarded to another email address, the forwarded address’s mail service may classify it as spam, delete it, or move it to the spam folder.
Set the forwarding destination to allow emails from “secioss.co.jp,” or change the notification email address to the forwarding destination.
If you get an error when entering the code from the email, the following causes are possible:
A new code has been issued.
Closing the authentication screen or pressing the browser’s “Back” button may issue a new code each time. Codes in older emails are invalid, so make sure you enter the code from the most recently received email.
Keep the authentication screen open when checking the email.
When checking on a smartphone, do not close the browser tab; switch to the mail app to check the code.
Please reset your password.
[If the Password Reminder Is Not Available]
Faculty and staff: Please contact the general affairs office of your department.
Students: Please contact your academic affairs office.
Note:
On December 19, 2025, as an emergency security measure, the passwords for all Tohokudai IDs were reset.
If you have not yet set a new password, please do so as soon as possible.
The Tohokudai ID is a random string of two letters and eight digits.
It is different from your employee number or student number.
It is also different from TU Mail (@tohoku.ac.jp) and DC Mail (@dc.tohoku.ac.jp) addresses.
Please check the originally issued Tohokudai ID notification.
(For students admitted after April 2021, check the Tohokudai ID confirmation page.)
If you do not have the Tohokudai ID notification:
Faculty and staff: contact your department general affairs office.
Students: contact your academic affairs office
Usage Start Date:
Tohokudai IDs can only be used from the start date. Confirm your usage start date.
The distribution date of the Tohokudai ID notification and the usage start date may differ.
Usage End Date:
If your Tohokudai ID becomes invalid due to graduation or retirement, you cannot log in.
If you are still enrolled but your Tohokudai ID is invalid, contact your department’s academic or personnel office.
