Where to Pray

We can pray anywhere - in our homes, as we walk, in our workplaces, schools, with others, on our own. As part of this day of prayer, churches across the city will be open particularly to pray for the city, should you want to pray in a church building. These times and locations are listed below. 

There were two gathered times of prayer as opportunities for us to come together as a city to pray:

• 7am on Zoom

• 6pm-7pm at Bristol Cathedral

Below are some of the locations where churches were open for prayer throughout the day on Wednesday March 6th.

• Bristol Noise - prayer at 7pm on Zoom (for 30mins). Zoom link here - https://www.thenoise.org.uk/bristolprayerday

• Central Church, St Philip & St Jacob, Tower Hill, Bristol, BS2 0ET - Join us to pray from 7.30 to 8.45pm.

• Easton Christian Family Centre, Beaufort Street, Easton, BS5 0SQ - PUBLIC MEETING regarding knife violence. To hear from local families and agencies. All welcome. 9.30-11.30am, The Mustard Tree room at the Centre will be open for prayer 12-2pm

• God's House International Centre, 55 High St, Staple Hill, BS16 5HD - Church open from 11.30-3.30pm for walk in prayers

• Holy Trinity Hotwells, BS8 4ST - open for prayer 9-11am

• Hope Chapel, Hope Chapel Hill, Hotwells, BS8 4ND - Prayer Centre open to all from 8am-12.30pm and 4pm-5.30pm

• John Wesley's New Room, 36 The Horsefair, Bristol, UK, BS1 3JE, open 10-12noon & 1-4pm.

• St Anne's Eastville, BS5 6JN - 9-10am concluding with the Eucharisty, and 5-6pm concluding with Evening Prayer

• St Edyth's, Seamills, BS9 2HU - 2-3pm to pray or reflect in the quiet

• St Mary's Stoke Bishop, BS9 1QJ - 9am-5pm for individual prayer, 9-9.30am Morning Prayer with members of ministy team. All welcome.

• St Nicholas of Tolentino Roman Catholic Church, St Judes, BS5 0RE - Mass at 9am, open for prayer 10-11am

• St Nicholas' Church Prayer Room, 54 Baldwin St, BS1 1QW - 12-2pm

• Woodlands Church, Woodlands Rd, Clifton, BS8 2AA - 1pm-2pm.
