KYA, or Kentucky Youth Assembly, is a statewide program where students become “delegates” and step into the roles of lawmakers, lobbyists, and leaders. They create bills, debate real issues, and work together to solve problems—just like the Kentucky legislature.
KYA builds confidence, public speaking skills, leadership, and teamwork. Students learn how government works in a hands-on, exciting way while meeting new friends from across the state. It’s a chance to use your voice, make an impact, and grow as a leader.
Any student who wants to speak up, try something new, or challenge themselves will thrive in KYA. It’s an unforgettable experience where students discover the power of their ideas!
