皆さん、こんにちは！本年度も全国大会の時期となりました。

この3年間、新型コロナウィルスの影響で、コンテストは試行錯誤しながらの開催となり、コンテスタントの皆さまだけでなく、特に運営側の皆さまには大変ご尽力を頂きましたこと改めて感謝申し上げます。

本大会では、国際スピーチコンテストだけでなく、昨年のユーモアスピーチに続き、論評コンテストも実施いたします。

また教育イベントについても、去年に引き続き全てオンラインでの開催となります。普段の例会では聞けないコンテンツに加え、全国から集まるメンバーとの交流もできるプログラムもございますので、各クラブに新規入会したメンバーもぜひお誘い合わせの上、奮ってご参加ください。

そして、今年の全国大会のメインテーマは「HOPE」です。これまで出口の見えなかったコロナ禍のトンネルをようやく抜け出し、これから新しい世界に向かって進んでいくことになります。新しい世界は、大変なことがあるかもしれませんが、ここで出会ったメンバーの皆さんと一緒に今後のトーストマスターズの形を作り上げていくことで、より楽しく学びのある経験ができると願っております。

ぜひこの機会を通して、一緒に楽しみながら学んでいきましょう。

Hi, fellow Toastmasters! Welcome to the District 76 Annual Conference.

Over the past three years, the contest has faced difficult challenges due to COVID-19. Once again, I would like to thank not only the contestants, especially the contest officials for their great efforts.

This year, in addition to the International Speech Contest, we will also conduct the Evaluation Contest.

Educational events will also be held online. In addition to special contents that cannot be experienced at regular meetings, we are also preparing a program where you can talk with members from all over Japan. Please feel free to invite new club members to join us.

The theme of this year's annual conference is "HOPE". We are finally out of the long tunnel of COVID-19. The new world may be challenging, but I hope that creating future Toastmasters with the members we met here will be a more enjoyable and learning experience.

これまでの３年間、パンデミックが私たちにもたらしたのは「閉」でした。閉ざされた扉、閉ざされたマスク、そして閉ざされた態度。もうそれは過去のことです。

今、私たちは扉を開く準備ができています。国境は開かれ、空港は開かれ、駅は開かれ、私たちの心は開かれています。今こそトーストマスターズ会員がオープンになり、私たちの新しい希望を抱きしめる時なのです！

このカンファレンスの多彩なプログラムに参加して心を開けば、新しいアイデアが生まれるはずです！

仲間との交流を楽しむことで心を開けば、新しい友人を得ることができます！

スピーカーから得たインスピレーションを行動に移すことで、新たなエネルギーが生まれます！

このカンファレンスで成長と学びを楽しみ、より良い明日へのHOPEの扉を開いてください！

My fellow members of District 76,

During the past three years, what pandemic to us was close. Closed doors, closed masks, and closed attitudes. It's past that now. 

We are now ready to open. The borders are open, the airports are open, the train stations are open, our hearts are open. It is time for our Toastmasters members to be open and embrace our new hope! 

When you open your mind by joining the versatile programs of this conference, you will have new ideas!

When you open your heart by enjoying the interactions with your fellow members, you will win new friends!

When you open your will by acting on the points of inspiration from the speakers of this conference, you will have a new energy!

Enjoy the growth and learning of this conference, and you will open a door of HOPE for a better tomorrow!

トーストマスターズ・インターナショナル　ディストリクト76メンバーの皆さん

皆さんのディストリクトのオンライン大会がまもなく開催されます。

スピーチコンテストの出場者を応援したり、優秀なワークショップのトレーナーから学んだり、ネットワークを広げて共有したりと、みんなが集まる一大イベントですから、毎年多くのメンバーが大会を楽しみにしていることでしょう。

きっとオンラインでの開催で あっても、その情熱や熱意、エネルギーはまったく衰えることはないのでしょうね！

トーストマスターズは、誰もがネットワークを広げ、学ぶことができる場所であり、失敗してもそこから学ぶことができる安全な場所であり、成長し向上することができる場所であり、夢を持ち、夢を追いかけることができる場所なのです。

トーストマスターズの創設者であるラルフ・スメドレー博士は、"We Learn best in moments of enjoyment "と言っています。

初めての大会でも、何度も参加している大会の一つでも、大会はそれぞれ個性があります。何か新しいことに挑戦し、経験することができるに違いありません。そのすべてを吸収し、経験を楽しむ機会を得れば、きっと多くのものを手にすることができるでしょう。

大会チームとディストリクトのリーダー達は、この年次大会のためにとても長い時間をかけて準備してきました。彼らに「ありがとう」と言うことを忘れないでください。

最後に、皆さんの大会が成功するよう、心からの祝福と願いをお伝えしたいと思います！

Toastmasters International District 76 Members,

Your district’s online annual conference will soon be here. 

I’m sure every year many members look forward to the conference because it’s a major event where everyone gathers together to cheer on the speech contest contestants, learning from talented workshop trainers, and network and share with each other. 

I’m sure that even though you are meeting online, the passion, enthusiasm, and energy does not diminish at all!

Toastmasters is a place where everyone can network and learn, a place where it’s safe to make mistakes and learn from them, a place where you can grow and improve, and a place where you can dream and chase your dream.

Toastmasters founder Dr. Ralph Smedley said, “We Learn best in moments of enjoyment.” 

Whether this is your first time at a conference or it’s one of the many conferences you’ve attended, each conference is unique. There must be something new for you to try and experience. If you take the chance to take it all in and enjoy the experience, I’m sure you’ll have a lot to take away.

The conference team and your district leaders have been preparing for this annual conference for a very long time. Don’t forget to say “thanks” to them.

Lastly, I’d like to give you my sincerest blessings and wishes for a successful conference!

私は、マカティトーストマスターズクラブの仲間たちと初めてのカンファレンスを経験できたことに感謝しています！私たちはただ出席するだけでなく、親睦会にも参加し、部門代表としてダンスナンバーを披露しました。それ以来、ディストリクト大会に参加するのが楽しみになりました。その後、ディストリクトリーダーと関わるようになり、クラブからディストリクト全体へとネットワークを広げていきました。そして何より、トーストマスターズという組織で新しい友人を得ることができました。

ディストリクト大会は、効果的なコミュニケーションとリーダーシップ開発の観点から、生涯学習を支援するトーストマスターの集まりです。シンプルなアイスブレーカー・スピーチから始まったホームクラブでの学びの集大成です。スピーチコンテストや教育プログラム以上に、同じ志を持つ人々と築いた関係が、私たちを会員として継続させ、毎年の大会に参加させるのだと思います。

大会チームの皆さん、ディストリクト大会を成功させるために尽力されたすべての方々に敬意を表します！トーストマスターズの仲間の皆さん、各イベントに参加する際には、トーストマスターズの旅の経験を探求し、豊かにするために、楽しむことを忘れないでください！トーストマスターズは「リーダーが作られる場所」であるだけでなく、「リーダーが幸せに作られる場所」でもあるのです。

I am grateful to experience my 1st Conference with my clubmates from the Makati Toastmasters club! We not only attended but participated in the fellowship activities with a dance number to represent our division. From then on, I looked forward to attending District Conferences as I later got involved with the District Leadership and expanded my network from club to the whole district. Most importantly, I gained new friends in the Toastmasters organization.

The District Conference is a gathering of Toastmasters fostering life-long learning in the aspect of effective communication and leadership development. It is a culmination of what we have learned from our home club that started with a simple Ice breaker speech. More than the speech contests and the educational talks, it’s the relationship that we built with like-minded people that keeps us eager to continue our membership and attend more District Conferences.

To the DISCON Team, salute to all the efforts you exerted to stage a successful District Conference! To my fellow toastmasters, as you engage in each event, remember to enjoy it as you continue to explore and enrich your Toastmasters journey! Toastmasters is not only ‘Where Leaders are Made’, its ‘Where Leaders are HAPPILY Made!’

皆さん、2023年ディストリクト76全国大会にようこそ！

2020年から４年連続で完全オンラインでの開催になりましたが、今年もその利点を活かし、大会の教育プログラムおよびコンテストは全て無料でご参加いただけます。

実生活では、ウイルスの位置づけも変わり、お仕事や休暇でも対面で活動することが増えてきたのではないでしょうか。私自身は、長かったトンネルをやっと抜け、新しい世界が始まる、そんなワクワクした気持ちを感じています。多くの皆さんも同様にお感じなのではないでしょうか。

今大会は、コロナ後の新たな生活そして発展に希望を抱き「HOPE」をテーマとしました。私たちが希望を持つことを楽しくしてくれるような教育プログラムが多数計画されています。一方、コンテストはコロナ禍で培ったオンラインスピーチ技術の集大成となります。

今大会が、最後の完全オンライン・完全無料でのカンファレンスになるかもしれません。ぜひ経験あるメンバーも新しいメンバーも、クラブ内でお誘いあわせの上ご参加ください。

Welcome to the 2023 District 76 Annual Conference!

For the fourth consecutive year starting in 2020, the Conference will be held entirely online. This year, we are again taking advantage of the online format and all of the educational programs and contests are free of charge.

In real life, your viral categorization has changed, and you may be experiencing more face-to-face activities at work and on vacation. I am feeling such excitement, as if I am finally coming out of a long tunnel and a new world is about to begin. I am sure many of you are feeling the same way.

The theme of this year's Conference is "HOPE" with hope for a new world and development after COVID. A number of educational programs are planned to make it fun for us to have hope. Meanwhile, the speech contests will be the culmination of the online speech skills we have developed during the online meetings.

This may be the last completely online and completely free Conference. We hope that both experienced and newer members will join us and invite others in the club to join as well.

Let's have HOPE for the future and enjoy learning now!
