A study plan provides a roadmap to prepare for the Praxis® tests. It can help you understand what skills and knowledge are covered on the test and where to focus your attention.
You should leave yourself plenty of time to study for the Praxis®, but not so much time that you forget the material or lose motivation. For most people, this means that you should begin studying two to three months before the exam or at least one month before the exam.

Note: You should take as many Praxis practice tests as possible. A good rule of thumb is to keep taking tests until you consistently achieve scores that you are happy with.
Obtaining and organizing your materials for review are critical steps in preparing for the Praxis tests.
Most people start their preparations two to three months before the actual exam. It is recommended that you start preparing at least one month prior, even if you are familiar with the test material. This will allow you to familiarize yourself with the test rules, types of questions, and test scoring rules.
Choose a test date far enough in the future to leave you plenty of preparation time.
Work backward from that date to figure out how much time you will need for review.
Set a realistic schedule and stick to it.
