This course will cover the basic aspects of Microbiology at Under-graduate level for the Agricultural Graduate students. The first half of the course is for basic aspects of Microbiology including Scope of Microbiology, different group of microorganisms; techniques in basic microbiology; morphology, growth and physiology of microorganisms. The second half will deal with Microbial Genetics and immunology. The main aim of this course is as follows:
To enable better understanding of students about the microscopic world around them
To acquaint students with the basic laboratory techniques and tools of microbiology
To introduce the fundamental characteristics of various microorganisms
To study the role of microorganisms in agriculture
