Bio
I received my doctoral training in Biomedical Engineering at National Taiwan University, where my research focused on the design and development of guanidinium polymers for applications in neural tissue engineering and cancer therapy. Following completion of my Ph.D., I joined a liquid biopsy research laboratory at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where I spent three years developing extracellular vesicle-based diagnostic technologies. My work at UCLA focused on using click chemistry to capture extracellular vesicles and analyze their protease activities for the detection and monitoring of osteosarcoma.
In 2025, I returned to Taiwan and joined Taipei Medical University as a full-time Assistant Professor. My current research interests center on the design and synthesis of functional monomers and their translation into advanced biomedical polymers, hydrogels, and bioinks. I am particularly interested in integrating these materials with extracellular vesicles and bioactive molecules to engineer multifunctional platforms for tissue regeneration, disease treatment, and other emerging applications in biomedical engineering.
