This bursary is for mature students who have not attended a secondary or post-secondary institution for at least one year and are returning to school to further their education. This is not a scholarship, and prior academic standings are not considered; instead, a candidate’s current maturity and financial need are the main factors. Students must be former Killarney School graduates or current residents of the Municipality of Killarney-Turtle Mountain, demonstrate financial need, and be accepted at a qualifying institution. Consideration may be given to past recipients who maintain a minimum B average and continue to meet the criteria.
