I did not grow up on a farm, but am grateful to offer over ten years' experience working with, and for, farmers and their communities. I became involved in agriculture as a freelance blogger, reporter and grantwriter before working for National Farmers Union starting in 2014. Now, I'm ready to work with farmers, millers, bakers, maltsters, brewers, distillers, grocers, food service providers and other food and farm value chain stakeholders to increase small grain, dry edible bean, and pulse crop production and utilization. I aim to do so by supporting everyone along the small grain value chain, from the farm through the family kitchen, leverage on-farm research, market research, conservation support, rural business development loans, and other such programs to help grain, bean and pulse-reliant businesses overcome market barriers. I am earnest and enthusiastic in my efforts and derive great purpose from my involvement in farm and food systems.
May I assist you in coordinating with other food and farm system stakeholders? Please contact me at tdriscoll@tmdstrategies.com.
