Challenge Island -
Our special guest came in and helped us to celebrate how we are all unique and can use our creativity to solve problems. Students were challenged with creating a rubber band powered rocket.
Fall Trees -
Students finger-painted fall color leaves on their trees.
Manners Meal -
Students learned table manners, how to set the table, and created decorations for a special meal where we showed off all the manners we had learned.
Students also learned about colonial tradespeople in Social Studies and then practiced the trade of weaving to create placemats for their Manners Meal.
Pocket full of posies -
During our Nursery Rhyme unit students learned the Nursery Rhyme “Ring Around the Rosie” After writing and practicing reciting the nursery rhyme students created their own 3d pocket full of posies.
Christmas Pie -
During our Nursery Rhyme unit students learned the Nursery rhyme “Little Jack Horner” After writing and practicing reciting the nursery rhyme students created their own Christmas pie and showed how the plum got stuck on Jack’s thumb.
100th Day of School Projects -
Students were challenged to create something with 100 objects from home. During our 100th day of school celebration students shared what they created, what they used 100 of on their project, and how they counted out their objects (by 1s, 5s, 10s)
