Every Monday students will go over a list of spelling words that follow a specific sound/spelling pattern. Lists may also include irregular words, or "heart words" which are words that break the rules for the sound/spelling pattern and that we have to memorize by heart. Students will do word work with their lists of spelling words throughout the week. Tests will be given on Friday.
Weekly Spelling Lists can be found on the class newsletter. Tests will be every Friday (unless otherwise stated).
Students are encouraged to practice their spelling at home. Feel free to use this Spelling Tic-Tac-Toe game, flash cards, or any other fun way you find to learn new words!
