Miss Palmquist

Welcome 4th Grade Families! I am Emerson Palmquist. I am so excited and honored to be your teacher this upcoming year. This blog is a place where you can find weekly homework, classroom announcements, links, and more. I will be updating it weekly, so keep an eye out for the newsletters. 

Now a little bit about me! I grew up in Aptos with my wonderful family, including a twin brother, a little sister,  two dogs, and four chickens.  I went away to college in Arizona, where I attended Grand Canyon University. GCU is where I studied elementary education and met my best friends. This school year will be my second year here at Twin Lakes Christian School! Throughout the years, I have been involved with many different ministries here at Twin Lakes Church, such as The Ride and Kruz Kidz. In my free time, I enjoy activities in the outdoors, particularly backpacking, climbing, surfing, and traveling. I love watching students grow into the person God has created them to be, and I feel so blessed to be a part of that journey! I look forward to getting to know you. 

My partner teacher (Monica Pitts) and I will be working closely together to ensure that learning is fun and our teaching is as consistent as possible! We will be jumping into the school year by reading the book "Wonder". This book has a theme of kindness and we are inviting you to help us bring that theme into our 4th grade classroom!
