Happy September!
I hope you all enjoyed the sunny three-day weekend! We are busy this week in 4th grade, as we will officially begin homework and have a math quiz on Friday! Today in class we will be working on our math study guide, and the study guide is worded very similarly to the quiz! For math homework, your child will complete a few questions from the study guide. As your kiddos are still adjusting to the rhythms of 4th grade, please remind them to bring their gray folder (completed with homework) and planner back to school every day!
4th Grade Homework Reminder: *in case you missed back-to-school night*:
1) Spelling: Your child needs to complete 1 activity practicing their spelling words each night. You can find homework ideas on the back of their gray folder. A parent signature is only needed if the spelling activity can NOT be turned in, such as Snap and Spell.
2) Math: Your child will have a few math questions to complete on a worksheet every night.
3) Bible Memory Verse: Practice each night to prepare your student for success on Friday's test.

Week 1: Monday 25th to Friday 29th
Good morning!
Last week, we spent a lot of time getting to know one another and building a foundation of kindness in our classroom. This week, we’re beginning to practice having daily homework, which will include spelling, math, and reading.
We’ll also have a mock spelling test and a Bible memory test to help students develop productive study habits before the real tests next week. Each day, your child will bring home (and return to school) their grey folder (homework folder) and planner. Please help your child remember these daily responsibilities, especially as we transition from the routines of 3rd grade. We will start and complete most of our homework together this week to help the transition!
Attached below, you’ll find our enrichment schedule for the school year and a link to Amazon if you would like to donate to the classroom! Thank you so much!
