USAID Outreach Program 2023

The Institute of Electronics Engineers of the Philippines Technological Institute of the Philippines Quezon City Student Chapter (IECEP T.I.P. Q.C. S.C.) officers volunteered at an outreach event with USAID on April 17, 2023. The event aimed to provide valuable knowledge and insights to participants, empowering them with skills and awareness to navigate the ever-changing digital landscape and explore entrepreneurial opportunities. The event kicked off with a series of engaging and informative seminars, covering a range of topics from leveraging online platforms to innovative uses for everyday products like a box of cereal. The TIP representative from the Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE) department led a discussion on the diverse types of entrepreneurs and encouraged participants to identify their entrepreneurial strengths and aspirations.

Throughout the seminars, the dedicated officers and volunteers took on the role of volunteers, providing assistance and distributing informative modules to ensure participants could actively engage in the discussions. They ensured that all attendees received the necessary materials and were able to follow along with the presentations and activities.

Following the seminars, Engr. Arenas, the program chair, and Engr. Tenazas facilitated a question-and-answer activity. Participants were presented with multiple choices and had to select the description that best aligned with their entrepreneurial inclinations. The officers and volunteers moved around the venue, providing support, clarifying instructions, and ensuring that participants had a smooth and enjoyable experience during the activity.

After the completion of the question-and-answer activity, the officers collected and analyzed the participants' responses. The data obtained from the activity was carefully examined to determine the predominant entrepreneurial traits among the attendees. Later, during the event's closing remarks, the results were announced and explained, shedding light on the types of entrepreneurs present and fostering awareness and self-discovery among the participants.

The event proved to be highly beneficial, equipping attendees with valuable knowledge and raising awareness about their potential as entrepreneurs. Through engaging seminars, interactive activities, and personalized insights, participants gained a deeper understanding of the entrepreneurial landscape and the various pathways available to them.

The officers expressed their gratitude and appreciation to all who attended, acknowledging the collaborative effort that made the event successful. The participants' active involvement and enthusiastic participation contributed to the vibrant and engaging atmosphere throughout the event.

In conclusion, the outreach event with USAID was an impactful initiative that provided participants with valuable knowledge and awareness of their entrepreneurial potential. The dedication of the officers, the engaging seminars, and the interactive activities combined to create an enriching experience for all attendees. Through events like these, we aim to empower and inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs, fostering innovation and driving positive change within our community.
