What is Electronics Engineering?
Electronics Engineering is a profession that integrates available and emerging technologies with knowledge of mathematics, natural, social and applied sciences to conceptualize, design, and implement new, improved, or innovative electronic, computer and communication systems, devices, goods, services and processes.
The Electronics Engineering program focuses on how to design, construct, integrate, operate, and maintain electronic equipment, electronic devices and circuits used in the transmission and processing of information.

At the recent Siyensiya Seminar, ECE students from different specialization fields showcased their passion for lifelong learning and scientific exploration in the Electronics Engineering field. Through research presentations and interactive discussions, participants delved into various issues where they provide innovative solutions. The event not only fostered academic growth but also nurtured a sense of community and collaboration among aspiring future Electronics Engineers.
The Siyensiya Seminar also fostered a sense of community and camaraderie among participants, creating opportunities for networking, collaboration, and sharing of ideas in the field of science and technology. Students exchanged their knowledge, shared experiences, and forged connections that will endure long after the conclusion of the seminar.
TIP QC ECE Alumnus returns to inspire the next generation
Engr. Rodolfo "Jojo" Acebo, an esteemed alumnus of the Telecommunication Engineering program at the Technological Institute of the Philippines - Quezon City (TIP QC ECE), has returned to his alma mater to inspire the next generation of engineers. With two decades of experience in the telecommunications industry, Acebo now serves as an Executive-Level Project Manager, specializing in network engineering and project management for leading IT service providers and tier 1 equipment/solutions vendors across the Asia-Pacific and North America regions. His journey from student to industry leader exemplifies the potential for success that TIP QC ECE graduates can achieve.
During his visit to TIP QC ECE, Acebo shared insights from his professional journey, emphasizing the importance of perseverance, continuous learning, and adaptability in the fast-paced field of telecommunications. As a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute (PMI) and a Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) recognized by the Certified Technicians & Technologists Association of Manitoba Canada (CTTAM), Acebo's expertise spans various aspects of telecommunication infrastructure, including subsea cable systems, terrestrial systems, outside plant engineering (OSP), and support facilities. His return to TIP QC ECE not only serves as a source of inspiration for current students but also highlights the valuable contributions of the institute's alumni to the ever-evolving field of engineering.

In a remarkable feat of innovation, the Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE) department of the Technological Institute of the Philippines - Quezon City (TIP QC) has clinched victory at the prestigious BPI-DOST Innovation Awards. Their project focuses on Design a Control System for Automated String Hand Rehabilitation Device Utilizing Cable-Driven Actuator.
