Learn What FCCLA Is
FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) is a student-led organization that focuses on leadership, career readiness, and community service through Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS).
Check Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible to join FCCLA, students must be enrolled in or have previously completed a Family and Consumer Sciences class and meet their school’s eligibility requirements, including maintaining appropriate academic and behavioral standards.
Talk to the FCCLA Adviser
Contact your FCCLA adviser or chapter officers to learn about meeting times, activities, and expectations for members.
Complete the Membership Form
Fill out the FCCLA membership form provided by your chapter. This may be completed on paper or online.
Pay Membership Dues
Submit the required membership dues, which typically cover national, state, and local fees. Your adviser will provide the amount and deadline.
Submit All Required Materials
Turn in your completed form, dues, and any additional paperwork by the deadline to remain eligible.
Become an Official Member
Once your information is submitted and approved, you will be officially registered as an FCCLA member.
Participate Actively
Attend meetings, participate in events, complete service projects, and compete in STAR Events.
Maintain Eligibility
Members must continue to meet school and FCCLA eligibility requirements, including academic performance and attendance, to stay active in FCCLA.
