First of all, you are doing a GREAT job! Thank you for all your efforts and all the new hats you suddenly are wearing. You are navigating new territory and it's understandable to feel a whole range of emotions related to it. Frustration, anger, sadness, are all reasonable and understandable reactions. Please make sure that you are taking care of your emotional and physical health in addition to all the care you give your family.

These personal safety videos are to help your student stay safe if someone tries to hurt them, or makes them feel uncomfortable. Watch them with your student and help them use the "Protect Yourself Rules" to stay safe. It's helpful to also ask them "What if" situations to help them build confidence.

School Staff members will always reinforce the following, "Remember, if someone says or does something that makes you feel uncomfortable or icky inside, you need to talk to an adult you trust right away! Someone like your teacher, someone in your family or your school counselor can help!"
