Canvas

What is Canvas?

The Canvas Learning Management Platform is where students will access all the learning activities during Comprehensive Distance Learning. It allows our teachers to build the digital learning environment that meets the unique challenges we are all currently facing with COVID-19. Canvas simplifies teaching, elevates learning, and eliminates the headaches of supporting and growing traditional learning technologies.

Do we have a specific district Canvas site?

Yes! Students need to login to Google with their district provided email and password. Our Canvas site is accessible through the Google apps icon (Canvas is on the very bottom when you scroll down) and also on the student homepage.

How can I see what my student sees in Canvas?

You will use your Parent "Observer" account. See more information below.

How do I create a parent account?

These have been set up for you by the district. All you need to do is change your password. Click here to find out how to do that. If you need to set up an additional observer account, click here for a short tutorial (this also includes adding multiple students to the same parent/observer account).

How do I?

Canvas Parent App

For Parents/Guardians wanting to connect on the go, the Canvas Parent app is a streamlined mobile application that provides access to important class information (Calendar, Modules, and Announcements). For a Canvas experience similar to your student(s) we recommend using the full Canvas website.

The Canvas Parent app is available for TSD9 parents using iOS or Android devices. You must search for our district using these words in the app: Tillamook School District
