Students will work, in partnership with the "at-home" learning partner/family and the TSD9 advisory teacher, predominately online and independently with primarily virtual instructional support available each day. They will cover TSD9 and Oregon State requirements in multiple subjects including core academic and required areas using one or more curricular programs or resources (Imagine Learning- Edgenuity/ Instructional Services, iCEV, Freckle, MyOn, Wayfinder, Keyboarding Without Tears, etc. Required curriculum, resources, and materials are provided. Students participate in school, district, and state assessments as required. A certified advisory teacher guides and collaborates for support and consult during the school day, during scheduled office hours, weekly check-ins, and tutoring/support sessions. A TVA Learning Lab is staffed and available for in-person, direct learning and technical support. Optional special events, workshops, and learning opportunities are scheduled periodically.
Students will work directly with learning partners who will facilitate the curriculum and learning process in collaboration with a certified, licensed teacher. Curriculum, resources, and materials are provided, however, some specific lessons will require locally-sourced resources (i.e. rocks, trees, and bumblebees). Students participate in school, district, and state assessments as required. A certified advisory teacher guides and collaborates with the learning partner and or student for learning progress, support and consult during the school day, scheduled office hours, scheduled check-ins, and training/tutoring/support sessions. A TVA Learning Lab is staffed and available for in-person, direct learning and technical support. Optional special events, workshops, and learning opportunities are scheduled periodically.
Students will have access to a number of different learning apps and resources to help practice various academic skills these may be used throughout the year or for special projects or tutoring support.
Individual, Group, or Class meetings are through Zoom or Google Meet and are accessible through links provided to students. Students will have scheduled check-ins on a regular basis as prescribed by their advisory teacher.
