Regions and Cultures
The American Indian Unit can be a fun and informational unit to teach. There are so many activities that can immerse students into the history of American Indians. This Webquest can be a fun, student-driven learning activity. Students will travel back in time and become immersed in the history of Native Americans, learning all they can about the American Indians within their assigned region. The information they learn on their journey will be brought back to share with the other explorers in the classroom.
Standards:
SS3H1.a Locate the regions where American Indians settled in North America: Artic, Northwest, Southwest, Plains, Northeast, and Southeast.
SS3H1.b Compare and contrast how American Indians in each resion used their environment to obtain food, clothing, and shelter.
